Claire McCaskill Is The Least Popular Red State Senate Democrat

Missouri voters are not happy with Senator Claire McCaskill, and that sentiment is making itself felt in her poll numbers. Today, Morning Consult released their 2017 fourth quarter poll numbers, and Senator McCaskill’s poor performance earned the distinction of “the least popular Democrats in states carried by Trump”:

“Sens. Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin and Claire McCaskill of Missouri, who are both seeking re-election, remain the least popular Democrats in states carried by Trump, with voters split down the middle over their job performance.”

Additionally, Senator McCaskill was the fifth least popular Senator in the entire Senate. In fact, Senator McCaskill’s approval rating has dropped by eight points since the beginning of 2017. Coinciding with Senator McCaskill’s out-of-touch vote against tax reform, it’s clear the Show Me State is fed up with Senator McCaskill.
