Fundraiser Foils McCaskill’s Tax Reform Claims

Recently-passed tax reform has already led to a series of bonuses and increased wages for Missouri workers. Despite these benefits, Claire McCaskill claimed that tax reform was merely a “Make-Rich-People-Richer Tax Bill” that would not “be helpful” to Missourians.

While Millionaire Claire pretends that she stands with the hard-working people of Missouri, her campaign is set to benefit from a $32,400 per person fundraiser hosted by Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney. Iger recently announced Disney would give $1,000 cash bonuses to over 125,000 employees as a result of benefits the company has received from the tax bill that McCaskill opposed.

While McCaskill says she opposed the tax bill because it would only benefit business leaders like Iger, her campaign certainly does not seem to mind receiving money from those she vilified. McCaskill’s tax reform hypocrisy highlights that she is just another DC-liberal that is out-of-touch with Missouri.
