A new Morning Consult poll released today found McCaskill to be one of the least popular members in the Senate. 39 percent of voters strongly disapprove of the job she is doing in Washington. Making matters worse, her approval rating dipped 4 points, from 46 percent to 42 percent.
The new poll reinforces the trend that Claire McCaskill is the most endangered Senate incumbent. Earlier this month, The Washington Post pegged Missouri as the Senate race most likely to flip party hands. Its rating came on the heels of National Journal, The UVA Center for Politics, and CNN that showed McCaskill’s re-election hopes are in serious jeopardy.
