Senator Claire McCaskill is one of the most vulnerable Democrats up for re-election and her upcoming vote on Judge Kavanaugh is putting her in a tough spot with progressives:
Kansas City Star: “Progressive Democrats are getting impatient with McCaskill, as the Missouri Democrat refuses to say how she plans on voting on President Donald Trump’s nominee or even comment on his testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee…But McCaskill and other red state Democrats also face increasing pressure from progressive groups, who expect party members to not only vote against Kavanaugh but actively resist his confirmation.”
The left may be angry over her straddling the fence on Kavanaugh’s confirmation, but 67% of Missouri voters want her to confirm the nominee.
As McCaskill said herself, “there are no winners for me here politically.”
NOW – KAVANAUGH: @clairemc was asked by a cmpgn volunteer about how she'd vote on Kavanaugh. She said some things are giving her pause, esp campaign finance. And overall – (see video)… pic.twitter.com/A4NB5zxp2Q

McCaskill should put partisan politics aside and stand with her constituents by voting to confirm Judge Kavanaugh.
